Brooke Scullion went to Eurovision

Series 9 was won by Blessing Chitapa, mentored by Olly Murs. Jonny Brooks was runner-up. Brooke Scullion and Gevanni Hutton were the other finalists. Meghan Trainor was on the panel that year.

Scullion later represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022 with That’s Rich. She did not reach the final of that contest. She had already shown, on The Voice UK, that a third place can still be the start of a public career.

Chitapa’s win made her the youngest winner at the time, and the first winner born outside the UK. Scullion’s Eurovision place is the other mark of that series.
