After the blinds, the show stops being blind. Battles put two singers from the same team on one stage, and the coach has seen both faces. A steal, in the years that rule was used, let another coach take the singer who lost. Either way, one person leaves the team.
Becky Hill's exit in the series-one battles is the example this site will keep using, because her later records are public and her exit is public. The battle did not end the career. It ended the series. Those are different sentences, and talent shows depend on people mixing them up.
Other singers left in battles and were not heard from in the same way. That is also true, and it is not a moral. A television round is a television round. Work after it is uneven, luck-filled, and mostly invisible to a Saturday-night edit.
If you want to argue a particular battle, do it in the forum and mark the spoiler. The article's only job is to point at the round where the show stops being a secret and starts being a choice.
