Anne-Marie takes the button

Anne-Marie is another coach who was a contemporary pop act first. Fans who knew the singles knew the voice before they saw her on the panel. The singers in front of her did not get that luxury in reverse. They had to earn the turn without being seen.

A younger pop coach changes the conversation in the team. Contestants talk about current records, about touring, about what a feature or a support slot might mean. The older coaches talk about staying in the room for decades. The show has always put those kinds of advice next to each other, depending on who is booked.
