AI Music is music made with software that can write a melody, build a beat, suggest a chord, or finish a vocal from a short instruction. A person still chooses the brief. The software does the first draft of the sound.
People use it in three ordinary ways. A songwriter sketches an idea and asks the tool for a verse or a drum pattern. A producer drops in a melody and asks for an arrangement. A listener asks for a track in a style they can name: soul, rock, a club beat, a quiet piano piece. The result is a file they can play, edit, or throw away.
It is not a replacement for a singer in a room or a band on a stage. A festival, a concert, a rave, or a private party still books people. S.O.M. Mobile Disco and Simian Mobile Disco hire DJs and support acts for those dates. AI Music sits beside that work. It is a way to draft, not the booking.
The useful test is the same as any other demo. Does the track hold a listener for more than the first hook? Can a person change the key, the tempo, or the lyric and still recognise the song? If the answer is no, it is a sketch. If the answer is yes, it can go into a session the way any other demo does.
Rights matter. A prompt is not automatically a clearance to copy a living artist's voice or a record they already released. A serious desk names the tool, keeps the prompt, and does not pass a generated vocal off as a person who never sang it.
The reading on the tools sits with Artificial Intelligence and Ask AI. What Is AI explains the term. The music desks are Roktalk, NTS Music, Kool 946 FM and The Shapeshifters. Simian Mobile Disco and S.O.M. Mobile Disco book the live dates. This page is The V Fan Site.
